Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what Authentic Well-Being LLC collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the website only. If you become a client, the privacy of your clinical record is governed by HIPAA and by the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive at intake — a separate document that controls over anything written here.

Read this before you use the contact form

The contact form on this site is for scheduling inquiries. It is not a secure or HIPAA-compliant way to send health information, and it is not monitored around the clock.

Please do not use it to describe symptoms, history, diagnoses, medications, or anything else you would consider private clinical detail. Send us your name, your phone number, and enough context to route your inquiry — nothing more. We will take the conversation to a secure channel from there.

If you are in crisis, do not use this form. Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form, we receive your first name, your phone number, your answers to the intake questions (what you hope to achieve in therapy, how soon you want to start), and your consent selections for text messaging. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

Our web host records standard server log data — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps, and referring page. This is generated by the hosting infrastructure and used for security and troubleshooting.

If analytics or advertising tools are active on this site, they may set cookies and collect usage data such as pages viewed and time on page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule an appointment
  • To send you the text messages you consented to receive
  • To keep the site secure and working
  • To meet our legal, licensing, and professional obligations

We do not sell your information. We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: our web hosting company, our email provider, and — if active — our analytics provider. They are permitted to use the data only to deliver their service to us.

We may disclose information if we are required to by law, by court order, or by the mandatory reporting duties that apply to licensed mental health professionals in Florida.

Text messages

The contact form asks for two separate consents: one for non-marketing texts about your inquiry and appointments, and one for marketing and promotional texts. They are independent, and neither is required to receive services.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out; reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop appointment-related messages, and you can opt out of both.

Minors

We provide therapy for children and adolescents. Inquiries about a minor should be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect information through this website from anyone under 18 acting on their own behalf. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

Website inquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and to document the inquiry, then deleted. If you become a client, your clinical record is retained for the period Florida law requires for licensed mental health counselors, under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is the reason for the warning at the top of this page.

Your choices

You can ask us what website information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below. Requests about your clinical record are handled under HIPAA and the Notice of Privacy Practices, which gives you broader rights than this policy does.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
